Canadian Whiskey
Canadian Whiskey is a type of whiskey, made from grain, that is mashed, distilled and aged in oak barrels not exceeding 700 liters for at least 3 years in Canada. It should be bottled at a minimum of 40% alc/vol. Historically, Canadian whiskey had some rye grain in the mash bill, and the term “Canadian whiskey” became almost synonymous with rye whiskey. And today, Canada is well known for producing very high quality rye whiskeys and other artisanal whiskeys.
