Description
Notes: 1800 Reposado Tequila is aged (rested) in French and American oak barrels and is made from 100% agave- which is unusual for this this price-most of the tequila you find at this price (and certainly below) is NOT 100% agave but blended tequila- the stuff that all those college tequila stories are made of. Other versions are the 1800 Silver and 1800 Anejo.
Appearance: Light straw colored, leaves even coat on swirling.
First Impression:Not overly aromatic, sea salt and slightly antiseptic smell.
Taste: Cilantro, alkali tang, pepper, touch of cinnamon, slightly thick, waxy mouth feel, dry finish.
Drinks: Margaritas of course, and Tequila Sunrises. Stands up well in both drinks. Unlike the higher priced Anejo, its stands out against any mixer. As a shot, it goes down with a mild burn but what are you expecting?
