$69.99

Amrut Cask Strength, the first Indian Whiskey, is exceptionally well crafted, non-chill-filtered, and bottled at cask strength.

Description

Amrut is the first Indian whisky distillery. It was established in 1948 and is located in Bangalore, India. Amrut can be translated as elixir or water of life.

Amrut Cask Strength is distilled from select Indian barley, grown at the foot of the Himalayas, and cultivated by traditional agricultural practices. The barley is carefully mashed and distilled in small batches and matured in oak casks at 3,000 feet above the sea level altitude, in Bangalore. It is not chill-filtered and bottled at 61.8% alc/vol. in its natural color.

The nose of this whisky presents notes of barley, caramel, and a subtle hint of spice. On the palate, it offers a rich and malty profile with prominent oak, citrus, and tropical fruit flavors. The finish is long, characterized by notes of dark sugar and cocoa.
