Description

Balblair distillery is located in Edderton, Ross-shire, Scotland, in the Highland region of Scotland. It was established in 1790, and is one of the oldest operating distilleries in Scotland. It is currently owned by Inver House Distillers.
Balblair is one of the two distilleries that releases vintages of their single malt, rather than putting age statements on the bottle (the second distillery is Glenrothes). All of the expressions are released in very small quantities, with a lot of care and attention to detail, which makes Balblair one of the best single malts on the market.

Balblair 1983 1st release is a replacement for the 1975 vintage, it was matured in ex bourbon barrels, and bottled at 46% alc/vol., non chill filtered and natural color.
