Description

Balblair distillery is located in Edderton, Ross-shire, Scotland, in the Highland region of Scotland. It was established in 1790, and is one of the oldest operating distilleries in Scotland. It is currently owned by Inver House Distillers.
Balblair is one of the two distilleries that releases vintages of their single malt, rather than putting age statements on the bottle (the second distillery is Glenrothes). All of the expressions are released in very small quantities, with a lot of care and attention to detail, which makes Balblair one of the best single malts on the market.

Balblair 1991 vintage is a replacement for the 1989 vintage, only ex-bourbon casks were used for its maturation. Distilled in 1991, bottled in 2009, making it 18 years old. Natural color, non-chill filtered, bottled at 43% alc/vol. (music to our ears!) Golden medal winner at 2011 International Spirits Competition. Phenomenal whisky!
