Description

Balblair distillery is located in Edderton, Ross-shire, Scotland, in the Highland region of Scotland. It was established in 1790, and is one of the oldest operating distilleries in Scotland. It is currently owned by Inver House Distillers.
Balblair is one of the two distilleries that releases vintages of their single malt, rather than putting age statements on the bottle (the second distillery is Glenrothes). All of the expressions are released in very small quantities, with a lot of care and attention to detail, which makes Balblair one of the best single malts on the market.

Balblair 2002 1st Release is the youngest offering from the distillery, it was distilled in 2002 and bottled in 2012, making it a 10 year old. It is non chill-filtered, natural color and bottled at 46% alc/vol. (We wish that all the distilleries took that approach!)
