The first Booker’s batch release of 2022, according to the company ‚Äúthis batch is named in honor of Ronnie Land, a longtime employee at the Jim Beam plants when Booker Noe was master distiller. As the warehouse manager, Ronnie was responsible for inventory of the aging barrels and knew exactly where Booker preferred to store his namesake barrels. Under Ronnie‚Äôs watchful eye, Booker knew he was working with barrels that met his standards.‚Äù
Ronnie’s Batch combines barrels from five warehouses with the largest percentage from Warehouse Z. The bourbon is a largely straightforward affair, with a focus on cinnamon spice that’s highlighted by caramel and oak. It’s rich and flavorful, packing a punch but not as hot as Booker’s is capable of. If you tend to enjoy Baker’s Bourbon, which can be cinnamon forward as well, but want a bit more punch than its 107 proof offers and don’t mind spending the extra money, Ronnie’s Batch will hit the spot.
