Description
Bulleit traces its roots back to the 1830s, when founder Augustus Bulleit first produced the whiskey in Kentucky. After his untimely disappearance, production ceased, and the market was Bulleit-less until 1987, when great-great-grandson Tom Bulleit stepped in to revive the family legacy.
Bulleit Small batch Rye is produced in small batched to ensure highest quality from 95% rye, and 5% malted barley, aged for 4-7 years and bottled at 45% alc/vol.
On the nose, you’ll encounter enticing aromas of spice, cherry, and tobacco. As you take a sip, the palate unfolds with buttery textures accompanied by flavors of spice, leather, tobacco, oak, cinnamon, and a hint of black pepper. The finish, of medium length, reveals notes of cinnamon and fennel, leaving a drying sensation.
