Description

Roger Champault is the 5th generation in this family business. When Roger Champault took over the estate, he only owned 5 acres, little by little the estate grew thanks to the new land that was bought and therefore the new vines that were planted. He also modernized the viticulture and winegrowing facilities and put thermoregulated tanks in the cellar. After their studies, Roger’s two sons, Laurent and Claude began working with him. They are now the two owners of this beautiful inheritance. Planted on slopes with renowned aspects and terroirs, the estate stretches over approximately 50 acres and is farmed to the HVE process as the wines are HVE certified. HEV covers four key areas: biodiversity conservation, plant protection strategy, management of fertilizer use and management of water.

This cuvee is a blend of 100% Sauvignon Blanc grapes grown in two types of soil. The “Terres Blanches”, which gives complexity represents 70% of the blend. The expression and the mineral side are from Caillottes-based vineyards. Fermentation is in thermoregulated tanks. After the racking, the wine stays on fine lees until bottling in April, with more texture and complexity.

At first, the bouquet is discreet. Then it opens to aromas of white fruits. The mouth is ample and perfumed.
