Elijah Craig bourbon was named after the famous baptist minister, who started distilling whiskey in Virginia in 1789 and is thought to be a first person to mature spirit in the charred oak barrels, and is known today as “The Father of Bourbon”.

Elijah Craig Small Batch Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey comes out of the Heaven Hill distillery, bottled exclusively from a dumping of 200 barrels or less, the brand carries the name of the Rev. Elijah Craig, the man who discovered the method of making true Kentucky Bourbon when he stored his wares in barrels that had been charred in a fire.

NOSE: Honey, vanilla, brown sugar and sweet corn.

PALATE: Creamy, vanilla, molasses, tropical fruit, roasted nuts and a touch cinnamon.
