Description
Elijah Craig Bourbon was named after the famous Baptist minister who started distilling whiskey in Virginia in 1789 and is thought to be the first person to mature spirit in the charred oak barrels, and is known today as “The Father of Bourbon.” It comes out of the Heaven Hill distillery, bottled exclusively from a dumping of 200 barrels or less.
The spirit has aromas of honey, vanilla, brown sugar and sweet corn. It has a creamy mouthfeel featuring flavors of vanilla, molasses, tropical fruit, roasted nuts, and a touch of cinnamon. It finishes long, sweet, and warming.
