Description

Glen Grant distillery was founded by the Grant brothers, John and James, illegal distillers and alcohol smugglers, when they decided to take a licence and build a distillery in 1840. After their death, the distillery was passed down to James “The Major” Grant, a legendary innovator and visionary. He was responsible for designing and setting up new tall slender stills and purifiers, which are responsible for producing a very elegant and refined spirit, that Glen Grant single malt is now most famous for.

Glen Grant The Majors Reserve is a younger expression from the distillery, therefore there is no age statement on the bottle. Never the less, this is a superb single malt, very well balanced, unpretentious but rather complex. It is an excellent every day dram, a perfect bottle for someone who is just starting to explore the world of single malts, and perfect for making whisky cocktails!

NOSE: Soft, slightly dry with a delicate apple/fruity note.

PALATE: Creamy, fruity, malty, rich with a note of spiciness.
