Description

Glenburgie distillery existed since 1810 under the name Kilnflat, until it ran into some financial troubles in 1870 and was closed and renamed Glenburgie. It reopened under the new ownership in 1878. Over the years it went through several ownerships, expansions and reconstructions, most recently in 2004 when it was completely rebuilt, retaining only the original stills. Currently it is owned by Pernod Richard.

Gordon & MacPhail are one of the biggest and oldest independent bottlers in Scotland, and have been a family run business since 1895. They source the best barrels on the market to age the spirit from various distilleries, and all of their offerings are of tremendous quality, never chill-filtered and no caramel color added. They are also owners of the Benromach distillery – the smallest distillery in Speyside, but one that is famous for producing one of the best artisan single malt Scotch whiskys.

This expression of Glenburgie 10yr was matured for 10 years in first fill sherry butts and refill sherry hogsheads, and bottled at 43% alc/vol.
