Description

Glenlossie was established in 1876 and is located in the Speyside region of Scotland. Glenlossie is a remarkable distillery for many reasons, but the malt whisky it produces is fairly obscure. One thing that sets Glenlossie apart from most other malt whisky distilleries in Scotland is the fact that the premises actually house two separate distilleries; in 1971 the Mannochmore distillery was constructed next to Glenlossie. Glenlossie malt is very highly regarded by the blenders, and it is very hard to find a single malt.

The Maltman range of single malts is produced by Meadowside Blending company, based in Glasgow , Scotland. They offer an excellent range of fine single malt Scotch whiskies, as well as fine blended Scotch whisky for all tastes and budgets. As independent bottlers they are able to remain impartial and only put their name to the best quality of whiskies available.

The Maltman range, all single cask releases, is without any added coloring or chill-filtration. The whisky is kept as natural as the day it left the cask, leaving all the goodness of mother earth’s oils, fats and proteins, offering you a dram with outstanding aroma, texture and most importantly, taste.

Glenlossie 19yr The Maltman bottling is one of the most cherished drams in our collection. It is not very often when we come across Glenlossie, and especially Glenlossie of this caliber. It was distilled in October 1992, aged for 17 years in an ex-bourbon cask and bottled in December 2011 at 43% alc./vol.
