Description

Glenrothes distillery was founded in 1878 and is located in the Speyside region of Scotland in the town of Rothes. Glenrothes single malts do not have an age statement on the bottle, instead they are bottled as vintages, when the master distiller decides that the whisky has reached its peak in the barrels.

The Glenrothes Select Reserve is the first non vintage offering from the distillery. Several casks from different years were carefully selected by John Ramsay (he retired in 2009) and vatted together to produce a beautiful whisky, very representative of the character of Glenrothes.
