Description

Kistler Vineyards are located on Sonoma Mountain at an astounding 1800 feet above sea level. This puts them quite literally above the clouds. This unique environment provides strong California sun throughout the day and a cooler mountain climate at night which produces outstanding grapes with vibrant and complex flavors.

Thirty year old vines grow dry farmed in deep red volcanic ash, producing a wine with an intense sense of the mountain heritage of the delicate stone fruit that is lifted, like its McCrea cousin, yet firmer, and with a stronger core and added layers of richness.

This Sonoma Mountain Kistler Chardonnay wine drinks like the finest of French Burgundies (Meursault or Pouilly Montrachet) and is highly allocated.
