Vinous 89 points – Good medium red. Expressive musky aromas of raspberry, mocha, pepper and spices, plus a sexy whiff of woodsmoke. Suave, savory and smooth on the palate, with red fruit and spice flavors dominating. Nicely restrained sweetness here. Not quite as concentrated or fleshy as the De Sangre blend but equally stylish and fine-grained, finishing with even suppler tannins.
