Launched in 2012, Merlet’s Lune d’Abricot is a traditional French Apricot Brandy. Apricots grown in Roussillon are macerated in pure alcohol and then blended with extracts of apricot kernels and Merlet’s own 2 to 6-year-old Cognacs. Finally, sugar is added. It can be drunk neat or in a zombie or nacional daiquiri. Made by macerating fresh apricots in a neutral alcohol blended with young Cognac from the producer‚Äôs cellars, this French liqueur has the flavor of almonds and apricots. It is best enjoyed neat after a meal, and it scored 94 points in 2013 from the Beverage Testing Institute.
