Description
Mortlach distillery is owned by the Diageo company and the majority of the spirit it produces is used in the Johnnie Walker blends. The official expressions of Mortlach were released in 2014 and Mortlach 18yr is a part of the official new line up along with the 25yr and Rare Old. It is bottled at 43.4% alc/vol, comes in a beautiful decanter.
NOSE: Spice, green fruit, toffee, nutty.
PALATE: Caramel, oak, spice, tobacco, earthy, tropical fruit.
FINISH: Medium to long, citrus, vanilla, touch of spice and oak.
