Mulderbosch Rosé is a pioneering South African varietal with a delicate pink hue, ripe grapefruit aromas, and clean mineral notes.

Description

Originally introduced in 1999, Mulderbosch Rosé stands out as one of South Africa’s pioneers in the category. Departing from the conventional approach of producing Rosés as byproducts of red wine fermentation, Mulderbosch innovatively crafted a varietal Cabernet Sauvignon Rosé, sourced from meticulously farmed vineyards dedicated to Rosé fruit. Upon reaching the cellar, these early-picked, carefully chosen grapes underwent vinification in a manner akin to aromatic white wine production, aiming for a fresh and aromatic Rosé style.

Exhibiting a delicate pink color with subtle salmon hues, Mulderbosch Rosé presents an initial burst of ripe grapefruit aromas, followed by clean mineral notes and hints of fresh strawberries. The predominant theme of this rosé revolves around freshness and purity, with a lively texture, vibrancy, and length. The flavor profile maintains a sense of purity, allowing the aromas to fully express themselves on the palate. A touch of mineral austerity threads lightly throughout the wine, making it both moreish and undeniably quaffable—an epitome of the ultimate rosé experience.
