It was the first bourbon to be sold exclusively in sealed bottles to avoid anyone fiddling around with the tasty contents. Old Forester’s mash bill contains a higher portion of rye than most other bourbons, resulting in big, bold character.Bottled at 43% alc/vol.
Its nose features orange, allspice and caramel alongside rich, vanilla, while the palate has notes of cinnamon, cocoa, oak, and a hint of maple syrup. It finishes long, with hints of fruit.
