Description
A genuine classic bourbon, Old Forester has been in production since the 1870s. This bourbon was founded by George Garvin Brown and is still owned by his family today. It was the first bourbon to be sold exclusively in sealed bottles to avoid anyone fiddling around with the tasty contents. Old Forester’s mash bill contains a higher portion of rye than most other bourbons, resulting in big, bold character.
Old Forester Signature is distilled from 72% Corn, 18% Rye & 10% malted barley, bottled at 50% alc/vol. It has a butterscotch-forward aroma, with scents of caramel, dark fruit, cinnamon, and vanilla peeking through. It is rich on the palate, featuring flavors of cinnamon, orange peel, caramel, leather, and oak. It finishes long, with spice, oak, and citrus.
