Description

Port Dundas was a single-grain Scotch distillery established in 1811 and closed in 2010. The distillery is currently owned by Diageo, and it produces grain whisky used in Johnnie Walker J&B, Bell’s, Black & White, Vat 69, Haig and White Horse. After the closure, the production was shifted to Cameron Bridge distillery, also owned by Diageo. Currently, there are four operating single grain distilleries in Scotland: Invergordon, Girvan, Strathclyde, and Loch Lomond.

Port Dundas 12yr is a limited edition bottling from the closed distillery and the first time the official bottling is available in many years. Port Dundas 12yr was matured in ex-bourbon casks for 12 years and bottled at 40% alc/vol.

This whiskey offers a delicate nose with vanilla, maple syrup, coconut, and fruity notes, a creamy palate with wood spice, cinnamon, and milk chocolate, and a medium finish featuring oak, spice, wood shavings, and fresh fruit.
