Sambuca di Trevi
Full-flavored with notes of anise and licorice. Delicious alone, with espresso or traditionally with three toasted coffee beans in a snifter. Sambuca is an Italian anise-flavored, usually colorless, liqueur. Its most common variety is often referred to as white sambuca to differentiate it from other varieties that are deep blue in color (black sambuca) or bright red (red sambuca). Like other anise-flavored liqueurs, the ouzo effect is sometimes observed when combined with water.
