Description
Talisker Distillery was founded in 1830 and is the only distillery on the Isle of Skye. It uses the spring water that comes from springs right underneath the distillery, and malted barley from Muir of Ord. Talisker is famous for being the favorite scotch of Robert Louis Stevenson. Even though Talisker 10yr is not an Islay malt, it is known to be one of the peatier whiskys.
NOSE: Spice, touch of sweetness, rich peat, touch of sea salt.
PALATE: Sweetness, dried-fruit, smoke, malty flavors.
FINISH: Long, warming, peppery with appetising sweetness.
