Description

Tomatin distillery was officially established in 1897, but it believed that the illicit distillation took place sine 16th century. It is located in the village of Tomatin, in the Highland region of Scotland. During the 1970 the distillery was the largest producer of whisky in Scotland, bue t since than in started cutting down the production, bringing it about 5 million liters per year. The majority of the spirit usually goes into the blended whiskys.

Tomatin 12yr is a very elegant and polished highlander, a replacement for the old 10 yr version, very solid sherried malt. Bottled at 43% alc/vol.

NOSE: Toasted cereal, barley, spice, floral notes, and apple.

PALATE: Medium, sweet notes, dark sugar, fudge, toffee, dried herbs.

FINISH: Medium length, fruity sweetness.
