Wyoming Whiskey Small Batch Bourbon is a traditional bourbon made in a nontraditional place. It is made from Wyoming-grown non-GMO corn, wheat, and malted barley and aged in full-sized oak barrels for at least five years in Kirby, Wyoming. It has a light to medium body, crisp flavor, and a smooth lingering finish. This small batch whiskey is bottled at 88 proof and has a batch number that is hand-written on the back, along with the date that it was bottled.
On the nose, a nice amount of sweetness wafts upward from the glass revealing aromas of vanilla bean, cherries and raisins. Letting the libation breathe also reveals nuances of caramel and cornbread. The bourbon has a light mouthfeel and a wonderful deep complexity to it, creating an array of tasting notes that include caramel and raisins on the first sip with a subtle floral finish. Additional tasting components include vanilla, toffee, and brown sugar, along with a subtle hint of cinnamon.
