Description

Port Dundas was a single grain Scotch distillery, established in 1811 and closed in 2010. The distillery is currently owned by Diageo, and it produced grain whisky used in Johnnie Walker J&B, Bell’s, Black & White, Vat 69, Haig and White Horse. After the closure the production was shifted to Cameron Bridge distillery, also owned by Diageo. Currently there are 4 operating single grain distilleries in Scotland: Invergordon, Girvan, Strathclyde, and Loch Lomond.

Port Dundas 12yr is a limited edition bottling from the closed distillery and the first time the official bottling is available in many years. Port Dundas 12yr was matured in ex-bourbon casks for 12 years, and bottled at 40% alc/vol.

NOSE: Delicate, vanilla, maple syrup, coconut, mango, green apple.

PALATE: Creamy, wood spice, cinnamon, milk chocolate, vanilla.

Finish: Medium, oak, spice, wood shavings, fresh fruit.
