The name Alto Vento, which means ‘High Wind’ in Italian, refers to the high altitude vineyards where the grapes come from. Made with 100% Pinot Grigio, this wine has been crafted exclusively from grapes grown in vineyards within the delle Venezie DOC region, which is also known as the ideal region for Pinot Grigio. It has been produced by one of Mionetto’s long time grower partners; a traditional family owned producer of the past 400 years, so getting a wine of this character and authenticity at the price on offer, is an outstanding value. It is crafted and artisanal in nature, a high quality “boutique” Pinot Grigio has unique character and finesse.

Located at the southernmost tip of wine-producing Burgundy, the Beaujolais is a region that cannot be ignored. Thanks to Beaujolais Nouveau, this appellation is now famous around the world. But beyond the festive attributes of this wine, it is also an impressive terroir and the birthplace of the Gamay grape, which fully expresses itself here more than anywhere else. Jarnioux and its hilly landscapes offer gorgeous panoramas of the Saône valley. Here, the vines are planted in calcareous clay soil (sedimentary in origin and therefore comparable to the soil profiles found in Burgundy). In this exceptional region, where it is warmer than in the rest of Burgundy, both the soil and the people working it contribute to the highly exceptional Gamay wines produced here, thereby affirming a true Beaujolais terroir.

This is a fresh and silky wine, with notes of licorice and spice on the palate. A food-friendly wine which will perfectly match grilled lamb, pork and assorted cheeses.

A rich, velvety-smooth, almond-flavored liqueur made with the crushed essence of apricot. For centuries, the flavor of rich, sweet almond has been enjoyed in romantic elixirs throughout Italy, Sicily, Greece, the Far and Near East. This thick and rich liqueur has a deep mahogany hue and generous caramel and almond aromas. The viscous attack of flavor leads to a full-bodied, sweet palate. The finish is flavorful and balanced.

This one, Marjorie’s Rosé named for Marjorie McCall, McCall Wines founder Russ McCall’s mother is yet another absolutely stunning example of an exceptional Long Island rosé. The sustainably farmed grapes for this wine are hand picked and crushed with a very short skin contact time to impart the lovely pale pink color of this rosé. Marjorie’s Rosé is so soft, smooth and easily drinkable, the one problem you may have with it is how fast it disappears from your glass. The rosé is created with a combination of 51% syrah and 49% merlot. It is fruit forward and filled with the flavors of black cherry and ripe raspberry. The wine is fermented in stainless steel and aged for three months before bottling. While this wine is perfect for picnics and barbecues, it’s sophisticated enough for seafood dinners, lobster, shrimp, oysters, and clams. It’s also a perfect complement for light summer dishes like salads and fruits.
